Twinkies sought to appeal to "dirty bulkers," a niche fitness audience focused on high-calorie consumption, by using bold and forceful messaging in their advertising. Thus campaign was crafted using powerful, gym-inspired copy showcasing it on branded merch like gym shirts and shaker bottles as well as updated packaging. This approach positioned Twinkies as an unapologetic, high-calorie choice for those embracing intense bulking goals.
